Three years of no activity. Then … training for a 50k race. Crazy, right?
The first step of training for an ultramarathon run after three years of little activity is gauging your fitness level. That’s exactly what I did on August 17, 2016.
The plan was simple: Walk one mile to warm up and then run for three. But, as I found out, that’s easier said than done.
