When I finished that marathon three years ago I set my sights on completing a 50k ultra marathon — a 31.1 mile trail race. But the truth is, today in the summer of 2016, it’s a struggle for me to even run three miles. So, how did I go from being in the best shape of my life to barely being able to make it around the block? You could say I let life get in my way … again.
